I’m learning some animation, taking a Skillshare workshop called ‘Animate in After Effects’. This is my first project for Jake Bartlett’s class, ‘The Beginner’s Guide to Animating Custom GIFs’.
I could have gone for something simple. But in my usual style I chose a rotating Earth and a rocket with drop-tanks.
At least I didn’t go with the spider idea!
Evaluation
Although it’s cheesy, I think this works! I like how the stars show through the smoke trail, and the rotating earth was a fun experiment. The rocket’s motion could be tweaked some more, but it’s a good beginner’s effort.
